"Nau Mai haere mai -I am in a Year 4 and 5 class called Tuatara at Mangonui School and my teacher is Ms Lloyd
Welcome to my reflective blog. Please remember I am learning to write my ideas clearly for an audience.
WOW, those "life-size" dinosaurs are amazing and so creative ! Did you follow a pattern, or did you make it up as you went ? I'm interested to know how long it took to make them and how many milk containers you needed altogether? Egg cartons are another good material to use as they are light, but sometimes quite hard to attach. I would agree that the painting was the best part, it's what we call "the icing on the cake".
We followed a pattern that Mum found. It took us three days to finish. One dinosaur only took one milk container. When you have made the shape you have to cover it all with masking tape so the paint will stick.
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my comments Tyler. I can appreciate the length of time it took - but, "wow", what a wonderful result. Time and patience and of course creativity are all important when creating anything, and you certainly have those skills.
